i Was..

..sick on this rainy weekend in nyc. radio city, taiji in columbus park, sleeping in and then to this^ this was it. the one and only piece of art that day that could suck me in and make it all move and go somewhere, so i sat here for the hour i had before the museum closed and gave it as much focused attention as i could.  i called a friend and offered my other benefit ticket to her and we met on a corner in times square, i introduced her to sonic youth that day and she dug my white mesh leggings and black boots.  this painting is a living breathing creature, it is so flat in photo, but in person it is incredibly deep and moving in so many ways.
